The Short Version
Tidera Health does not store your health information. Your condition, age, sex, location, medication history, and treatment details exist only in your browser during your search session. When you close the tab, they are gone.
We collect anonymized aggregate data about how the platform is used — none of it linked to a person. We also use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization to understand basic traffic patterns (pages visited, session counts).
What We Do NOT Collect
- ✕Your name, email, phone number, or any contact information
- ✕Your age or date of birth
- ✕Your sex or gender identity
- ✕Your medications or medication history
- ✕Your treatment history or disease severity
- ✕Your location beyond what you voluntarily type into the search form
- ✕Your IP address (Google Analytics receives a truncated, anonymized version)
- ✕Device identifiers or browser fingerprints
- ✕Cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking
- ✕Any protected health information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA
What We Do Collect (Aggregate Only)
We collect the following anonymized data to understand how the platform is used. None of these events include personal identifiers or health data beyond the condition text you entered as a search term.
Search events
timestamp · condition (text) · location (text) · result count
Trial feedback ratings
timestamp · condition (text) · NCT trial ID · rating (Yes/Maybe/No) · AI fit score
UX feedback (optional modal)
timestamp · feedback text (free-form, max 500 chars) · would-return vote · tags · page URL
In-session action events
timestamp · event type · condition (text) · NCT trial ID
Event types include: clicking through to ClinicalTrials.gov, saving a trial, generating a report, opening the discussion guide or checklist, and medication photo tool interactions (start / complete / result). No health data is captured — only that an action occurred on a given trial.
Contact link clicks
timestamp · NCT trial ID · condition (text) · contact type (email / phone / clinicaltrials.gov / other)
Logs whether a user clicked a contact link for a trial — not what they said or any contact details.
Trial journey updates (user-reported)
timestamp · NCT trial ID · condition (text) · event type · status label
If a user voluntarily updates the status of a saved trial (e.g., “screened,” “enrolled”), that label is stored alongside the trial ID. No clinical outcome data or health information is stored.
None of these events are linked to any user identity. There is no way to reconstruct who submitted any particular search or feedback from our data.
AI Processing
When you run a search, your profile (condition, age, sex, location, medications, treatment history) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate plain-English trial explanations. This data is transmitted over HTTPS and used solely to generate the response for your session.
Anthropic's data retention and privacy policies govern how they handle API inputs. Tidera Health does not instruct Anthropic to retain your data, and does not receive any personally identifiable information from Anthropic.
Explain Cache
To reduce latency on repeat searches, AI-generated trial explanations are cached in Vercel KV (Upstash Redis) for up to 12 hours. Cache keys are derived from:
- Condition slug (normalized text)
- Travel range preference
- Treatment status tier (has treatment history: yes/no)
- Medication class flags — booleans, not names: biologic: yes/no · JAK inhibitor: yes/no · immunosuppressant: yes/no · currently on biologic: yes/no
- Clinical profile confidence level (incomplete / moderate / complete)
Medication names, dosages, age, sex, location, and any reversible patient identifiers are never part of any cache key or cached value. Cached values are AI-generated summaries only — no patient data is stored in the cache.
Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics 4: Used for basic traffic analytics (page views, session counts). Configured with
anonymize_ip: true— your IP address is truncated before being sent to Google and is never stored in full. Tidera does not use GA4 remarketing, advertising, or cross-site tracking features. See Google's privacy policy. - ClinicalTrials.gov (NLM/NIH): All trial data is fetched in real time. Your search query (condition + location) is sent to their public API. See ClinicalTrials.gov privacy policy.
- Anthropic Claude API: Used to generate plain-English explanations. See Anthropic privacy policy.
- Vercel: Hosting infrastructure. See Vercel privacy policy.
- Upstash (Vercel KV): KV cache and analytics storage. See Upstash privacy policy.
Tidera Health does not use advertising networks, social tracking pixels, or remarketing services.
